I was in the glass division and had my wife out with me 24/7. We stayed out for months at a time, by choice. It wasn't forced. It was the best way for us to make a great deal of money.

Rigbuilder and his lovely wife are two of the best people you would ever want to meet. Gonna miss seeing them again.

    Hi everyone,

Very new to this so bare with me. I started truck driving school recently. Should have my CDL come mid January. Got my CPL today and going for DOT physical tomorrow morning to get my medical card. Had David Jeffries come in this past Tuesday from Maverick. Liked his pitch about Maverick and on my short list now. Considering the Temp Control Division when I graduate. Saw a few recruiters from other companies (not going to mention names) that I was not very impressed by. Got a call from Hanna the other day about filling out a pre app. Was wondering if anyone on here is recent to starting with Maverick and what it is like? How the orientation was? The training? Pay and benefits (not formulas) for a new driver going solo? Also, current or former drivers for Maverick, what it is like working for them? Just trying to find the best fit and any help is appreciated. Thanks!

One of their flatbed drivers posted a YouTube video every day during orientation & training. Search for Dale Clay.

The canvas tarp is used on steel because it will not have condensation form or sweat moisture. The
Vinyl tarps will sweat / form condensation causing rust to form. Tin plate coils are the most susceptible to rust.

.....and I thought the canvas was to stop the steel from cutting through the vinyl.....silly me!
