I know what you are saying but if you spent any time really listening to Barry's tax policies you would be scared to death. Unless some one is already disposed to believe in socialist marx policies. Wealth redistribution etc.

This is not how it should be in America. We can ALL have a chance to advance ourselves and become wealthy. Commie policies have been proven time and again to not work, but that isn't about to stop Barry and crew.

Probably the wrong thread here for this, but I have listened to both and lived under both parties. The economy over the last 8 years has not been the best. Therefore, my income has taken a hit. The net tax effect has been minimal.

With the tax writeoffs that I will have available to carry forward, the income will not be drastically affected. Therefore, if you calculate the net effect of what they say they will do, it will have little significant effect.

The republican attitude will save some of my corporate clients in their tax situation and some of the larger personals. In a review of the rest overall, I see little major effects to them.

This is assuming he could even get the congress to agree which I doubt will happen.

The end result of this election will have little effect. Neither party in my opinion will achieve a majority position. They will not work together. They will fight each others plans.

As far as Obama, I really doubt you need to worry about him.

As I have stated before, McCain is no bright ray of sunshine either.

Oh yeah, I'm not known for being a fan either.

As for personal income...... 4 yrs ago when my wife and I got married we were BROKE. Like really really broke.... this yr even with all the bad things that have happened to me, house fire and watching my trucking biz go down the drain not making much $$ thru that, we'll probably still near $50,000 for the yr.
Oh yeah, the Bush economy sucks etc.

Road you've been around longer than I have and I've seen cycles in every thing. The economy, the climate etc etc it all goes up, and it all goes down.

Well, I am sure ready for it to turn around.

I am having to stop my business and go back into the big truck. Probably this week or next. They have T600 and T660's with APU's.

    Who you gonna work for?

I had a driver tell me that the economy runs in cycles. Presidential election years are bad down years, and mid terms not as much. Its because the economy does not like the uncertainty and instability of who the prez is gonna be and how his policies might change things.

Been prehired at Waller Trucking. Want me there next week, but I was hoping to go camping at least once in the last 2 years. Have not made decision yet.

I was. RV Hauling with the 1 ton Dodge. Factories are working 2-3 days a week. Heard yesterday that one, Dutchmen was only working every other week. Waiting for loads almost 2 weeks. Not worth it. Income dropped about 70%.

No shock there. As I drive around the country and see all the RV dealerships packed to the gills I have to wonder who is buying their over priced rigs.
