I have seen many better companies go to the wayside than Maverick NLR.
The owner of this privately held enterprise is not getting any younger.
It was good while it lasted, for what it's worth.

I have been with Maverick for 18months now. This past july Maverick had 1621 drives, yesterday I took at the driver list and we now have 1126. I was also told that Maverick will let 200 more go within the next 2 weeks. Those leaving are one with high safety points and low MPG.
Faber Thanks this. -

Nothing personal...but:
I remember my last lode outa' the Sterling Il. mill.
Over 13 years with 4 differnt great companies I had done like my dad b4 me.
They poured steel for 120 years or so and that was the last drop.
It will never come back.
The big picture is the deal.
Maverick is small potatoes.
From my understanding as a stockholder AK Steel is shutting down a couple few mills temporally.
This is only another example of the cutbacks experienced in every single American business.Faber Thanks this. -
Maverick runs outa' Pete Olivers old Fort Smith place dont they.
I remember Oliver drivers selling their tarps & chains over the CB when they went belly-up on payday.
Nothings changed but the date.Faber Thanks this. -
