There used to be two list:
    .one was the units.
    .another was the drivers.
The drivers are not considered official until a certain amount (90 days?) of time.
Office folks like to brag about bogus low turnover %.
    I have seen both list.
My name & unit# at the number 1 position mostly & I tell the world there was 140% turnover there just like any other outfit.
Just take the number of drivers and divide the numbers of units.
Maverick just works the numbers to show what they want.
If a driver quits or is fired within' the 90 days or whatever he is not officially a driver an is never counted.
The list were the really cool thing about this crumy outfit.
I have never ran for anyone else with this type of transparent government voluntarily.

I really liked Maverick while I was there for the most part. I thought the people who worked on the training/driving side were great people. The FMs left alot to be desired. When I got mine (after my training period) she started out nice but then became pushy and rude about things. I even went so far as to request and other FM but was told they would not do that. It's what they did to me when I quit that I lost respect for them.

I had two accidents that they ruled non-preventable and one accident that was totally my fault/ I tore a panel off the truck going through some tight scales late at night in Alabama. I got 1 speeding ticket 10 over. I also had a couple of scrapes on the tarp boxes and turned them in like I was told to. I was told they were no big deal and wouldn't count against me. The week before I quit I set up a job with another company and they ran my DAC and gave me a copy of it and it was clean minus the speeding ticket. At the same time I got a job where I could be home nightly so I got out of OTR and things were good.

Well now that've decided I need to go back into trucking because jobs are going under here I can't find a job trucking. Turns out that Maverick waited until after I quit to put four incidents on my DAC. And today a company called me back to tell me this and also said I was terminated for having a unsatisfactory safty record. Kinda strange when I had never been in trouble before and I took my lumps for the mistakes I did make. But if they tell me there would be a problem and they won't reflect negativly then they shouldn't have. And I didn't leave on great terms but they were decent. Wasn't under a load, didn't abandon truck, truck and trailer sat in the MAdison yard a week because I had been off work.

Now I'm stuck and not sure what to do. Not sure if I can get a company to take me or even if it possible to have my DAC fixed.

For all practical purposes, Maverick still remains my number 1 newbie dream job even though they are frozen and it's not going to happen. But I do keep hearing this about the DAC, and they seem to be one of the larger contributors to its evilness.

The accident and the 10 over is definitely "your bad". But the rest, as far as I'm concerned, whether it be tools, jeans, guitars, whatever, if it's not getting dinged up a bit now and again they just aren't being used. Even if you owned it outright with full stake in it these things are going to happen, accompanied by an expletive and that's it... but it's not like you're setting out to destroy stuff.

So really did you QUIT or were you terminated? Because if you quit then that's just an out and out lie and should be challenged. As for the rest, lots will come by and tell you that you did it, suck it up. Yeah you did, but they don't have to report everything like an ex-wife saying you made a late night snack and didn't clean up until the morning.

Anyway, your situation aside, as far as DAC is concerned, I'm convinced more than ever that the best thing to do is stay with your first company for a year or two until you can possibly afford to go O/O and then never look back.

Last, they should outlaw qualitative 'conclusion' words like "unsatisfactory". They should just report the facts and let others draw the conclusion based on their own internal policies and not borrow everyone elses interpretations.

Yea I quit. I had been home for a week and they had tried to tell me I did damage to the truck, it was my fault, and it would count against my safety record. I disputed it to no avail. So after they told me I said I had enough and that I was going to clean my truck out. I got over to the yard the next day and it was done for me and a new guy already had it on the road.

I honestly believe it had alot to do with my FM. She and I hated each other. She saw things from the perspective of sitting behind a computer and I saw it from the perspective of being behind the wheel. Of course I was always wrong in the end even if I did win a point here or there.

I wasnt a complainer because I had already witnessed what that did to you and I wasn't a screamer and yeller. I just refused to do things I knew were illegal. And while I never got in trouble (ie written up) I looked bad in her eyes. I wasn't what she had in mind when she thought of "trucker". And I screwed myself with her because at first I did those things and ran with little or no sleep. I stopped when I guy I went to school with, who also worked for Maverick, was doing the same thing on no sleep and wrecked the truck. It was my wake up call.

Lol I've read some of the things he has said and some I agree with as either happening to me or someone I knew there. But I don't want to sit here and slam the company all day. I'd really like to just get my DAC fixed to the point that I can find another company and start building my time and experience back up.

Check into the dac fix company that sponsers this site....sooner the better. Especially if they lied on your DAC claiming they fired you when you quit.
