Hi, I was browsing this thread and was thinking of applying for Maverick. How long until a recruiter will contact you? Thanks.
Make sure you have nothing physically wrong with you. They have the most stringent physical you'll probably ever take in the trucking industry. They check every joint in your body from your neck to your ankles. Even put you through a stress test to check your heart and blood pressure. Their physical puts a bunch of folks on a bus home. Also, be sure you can get 120 pounds (approx weight of a lumber tarp) off the floor. If you can't lift a tarp and get it onto the deck of a flatbed, you'll get a bus ticket as well. I saw a 110 pound little blond gal manage do it and a 250 pound fella get sent home. So, size has nothing to do with it. It's technique more than anything.
