Actually, they do.

Might I add, the requirements of a 2/8 split, specifically state you need x of this and x of that. But not x of this and x of that.
One is the same but they are not the same.
Rectangles and squares.
LMAO!

No, you logged normally and drank keopactate until you got the runs stopped. It might take about a quart and a case of bottled water plus a night and day to empty your body. But you do whatever you can to get it cleared and roll. You also learned to be careful what water you put into your body when entering a new part of the USA. There are places that do not treat water very much.
If someone like a wife team driver did once or twice get sick out there you inform dispatch (This is where you savings kick in, because you make ZERO dollars...) to get the sickness resolved. Somtimes it takes a night at the ER for advanced medical help to fight some things. It might take a couple days in the sleeper somewhere quiet or even a hotel if that is what it takes to clear out a more common malady. Once I was sick and had been for two days in CT with a reefer load on me. Had about a dozen state polices hunt me even though I was not hard to find, all they had to do was literally pull off at Darien and there I was. I got back home in a big push and gave the rig to another driver. I ended up in surgery the following morning for appendix. It worked out except that against the 6 week off time away from anything, I was back on the road again with the rig in 3 and change weeks. Because in my area drivers were not common as they surely are today.
Satellite communications became a life saver in certain cases when you really get sick. Most of the time, what happens is in your fever around 103-104 you work your rig towards home wherver that may be. Logs? Forget it. Dispatch knows what is going on and track you until you make it there or end up in a hospital somewehere. They will take the time to wait to you better, otherwise you are replaced. A week at most.
When you get tough, you learn to burn out the fever in a few days, shake it off in one and get going. You also learn to disinfect and clear your entire cab and bunk after such a event. Once in a while a DOT man might catch you in a bad way medically and know instantly it's not about the inspection anymore and a ambulance is fetched.
Just don't die in that bunk. It could be a week until odors make the whole row uninhabitable before your decomposing body is discovered. -
Which renders a 34 invalid, as I showed, it clearly states off duty, and doesn't mention SB.
Here is reality, I log off duty, I am on elogs, My logs have been checked at more than one inspection, the latest being in January at the Mesa CO scales.
Not a word was mentioned, so I continue to do it that way. I do log SB for an 8/2 split.
What can I say, I never worked for Swift. -
So why can we not drive 10 hour circles around the private property parking lot. Ya know, if it's irrelevant.scottied67 Thanks this.

That question shows your ignorance about HOS and the law.

Wait a minute...
"Might I add, the requirements of a 2/8 split, specifically state you need x of this and x of that. But not x of this and x of that."
X of this and X of that but not X of this and X of that?
WTF? LMAO
8 comsecutive hours in the SB, coupled with 2 hrs of OFF or SB or a combination of the two. -
I think a mod needs to close this up now.
MachoCyclone Thanks this. -
That response shows you have no answer. Don't worry it's irrelevant.
-
Yeah I didn't think that through. Exray has me on a new topic about why I can drive on private property after 11 hours of driving.
-
Btw. Why would you log driving for accident investigation while parked at a t/s? You are really slipping your words dude. I'm on your side, but your taking things out of context, throwing them down a garbage disposal, then saying I said such and such. Which is not the case.
