That's a pretty bad combination. LOL! It realm is too bad, there are a bunch of them for sale around the country and decent prices.

That was supposed to be really. LOL big thumbs and not paying attention....

It will be interesting to see how the new Maxxforce plays out now that it has gone to SCR instead of using the heavy EGR thing of the past. I just can't see how any engine can not have problems when you feed it a extreme dose of it's own feces like International did. Now that they have been forced to go to SCR, they are now dialing back on the EGR considerably. This should really make a difference in how it holds up, in theory. Just watching and waiting to see how it all plays out. After my last two experiences with the ISX engines, I am no longer a fan of Cummins. The N-14 was the last engine I liked from them. I have no love for what the Maxxforce has been, but am holding out a little hope that they might be able to make it more reliable by going to SCR.

If you don't like Cummins, then you still won't like the SCR Maxxforce because the whole SCR system is made by Cummins!

I was thinking more in line with the engine itself now that they got the Maxxforce on SCR. The down stream stuff is a different issue. Since it is not being fed as much EGR, it would be nice if a lot of the issues that cropped up with the Maxxforce are under control now.

God I hope so!!!

That wouldn't surprise me! And I would probably have more trust in the engine if VW was behind designing it, at least from a fuel economy angle.

There are rumours that Navistar/International is next on their list off take overs.
And with shares being low in price....................
