4000k miles a on 70 hours is pretty easily done if you can avoid the major traffic areas like NYC, LA, Atlanta, I-95, ect. My all time best week was 4254 miles in 6.5 days on ELD, 100% legal.... My truck is governed at 67 mph.
But to go from coast to coast and back on the same 70 hours probably wouldnt be possible... Unless you have a truck with no governor and spend a good majority of the trip on 75 mph to 80 mph speed limited routes. Even then I dont think it could be legally done on ELD.bryan21384, Midwest Trucker, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this. -
Their is no exact answer. Since running ELDs you can drive all the miles you can. It depends on whether and how fast a truck goes. If someone is running east coast to California and back. Sounds more like paper log books

Maximize your earnings per week. Run less miles for more money. I like to drive but no way I’d want to drive 3500+ miles per week. I’d rather make the same driving 1750 or less miles. Better yet, miles don’t matter much on hourly pay

Well, I just put on 1200 miles in the last day and a half.
Anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

I would like to see 75-80 mph roads east of the Mississippi. Even if there were it would be impossible to do that. You can't even average 70 on a 70 mph road. I find it hard to believe this guy is not a troll.
truckguy391, 86scotty and 401-Alex Thank this.
