BASED ON READING THE POSTS FROM BJnobear, Redd and Buckeye 'bedder, I HAVE DECIDED THAT I WILL NOT PURSUE A CAREER IN TRUCKING OR FLATBEDDING ALL BECAUSE REDD SAID THAT IT WILL BE TOO HARD FOR ME AND THAT I WON'T BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT.

REDD REALLY KNOWS ME AND KNOWS WHO I AM, HE IS REALLY A PSYCHIC TRUCKER.

SINCE REDD SAID THAT (AND REDD REALLY KNOWS ME), IT REALLY HURT MY FEELINGS SO I HAVE CALLED MY GRACIOUS BENEFACTOR, SWIFT TRANSPORTATION, (WHO COULD NOT FIND A MENTOR FOR ME ANYWAY) AND TOLD THEM NOT TO BOTHER FINDING ME A MENTOR, THAT I WON'T BE REPORTING FOR WORK, THAT I AM A DESPERATE TRUCKER THAT DOESN'T WANT TO REPLACE A TRUCKER THAT WILL WORK FOR A HIGHER WAGE AND THAT I INTEND TO PURSUE CASHIER WORK AT THE LOCAL DOLLAR GENERAL, BUT THEN I GOT ON THE DOLLAR GENERAL EMPLOYEE FORUM AND THEY TOLD ME THAT DOLLAR GENERAL CASHIER WORK WILL BE TOO HARD, SO I DECIDED NOT TO PURSUE A CAREER AT THE DOLLAR GENERAL, NOW I THINK I WILL DO CRIMINAL ACTIVITY, YES AND UNLIKE FLATBEDDING, NOTHING TO TIE DOWN THERE....EXCEPT PEOPLE.

REDD LIKES TO THREATEN ME WITH A WINCH BAR UPSIDE MY HEAD, BUT WHAT REDD DOESN'T KNOW (BUT HE SHOULD) IS THAT I LOVE THE GAME OF MIDNITE BASEBALL, SO I DONT' THINK REDD OR ANY OTHER FLATBEDDER WOULD WANT TO DISRESPECT ME, AND SINCE REDD REALLY KNOWS ME, HE WOULD ALSO KNOW BETTER THAN TO COME INTO MY BALLPARK WHEN I'M UP TO BAT.

I WANT TO SINCERELY THANK THE AWSOME CAREER COUNSELORS AND RESIDENT PSYCHICS BJnobear, Redd and Buckeye FOR SETTING ME STRAIGHT, YES BECAUSE OF YOU, I HAVE CALLED SWIFT AND TOLD THEM THAT I CAN'T DO IT BECAUSE THE PEOPLE ON THE TRUCKER REPORT SAID SO...

So you got all that out of what I said? Interesting that you are able to read something that is written in plain English.... But yet come to a different conclusion.

All that I said is that you will need to make an attitude adjustment if you want to be in the industry. And I didn't threaten you. I told you what will happen if you show your ### to a flatbedder... But if you want me to, I'll be happy to take on that task.

Now, I don't have time for your ignorance or attitude. I have to go load my flatbed with freight that you will never see because of that attitude & ignorance.

No one said you couldn't handle it. I pointed out your piss poor attitude towards Swift (who is giving you an opportunity) and your going off on one of it's driver's who defended Swift against your attacks. You should spend time to go back and read your posts. Maybe then you will see how you ripped into Swift and came across as a ungrateful dipsh*t.

    Snippets from your posts:

...."I agree, last time I checked, trucking as a whole is suppose to be a brotherhood, at least on some level....."

Yet, you exhibit your "brotherhood" skills with this....

    Then you state:

REDD REALLY KNOWS ME AND KNOWS WHO I AM, HE IS REALLY A PSYCHIC TRUCKER.

But you were okay with writing this:

"Yeah, friday night and most people are going out or partying, not me, me and the other Swift drivers are sitting at the bus depot in downtown Phoenix. Besides the usual compliment of people consisting of wives running away from mean, scary husbands, teenage girls meeting "someone from the internets" off Craigslist and security guards that wished they had a "real job", there's nothing like puffing away in the smoking section listening to some ex-con talk about how great it is to "get out of prison". I guess you don't make enough stamping license plates to go SouthWest Airlines, it's Greyhound for you. Nevertheless, here we all were, no mentors, going back home."

    Injun wrote:

I don't expect anyone to "worship" Swift or any other company. But is it too much to ask that somwone not start out on a team by bashing it? Just because some people don't fit an ideal, doesn't mean they have nothing to offer. When you're stuck on the side of the road someday, it will be one of those "ex-cons" who stops to help you. What will you say then?

    To which you replied:

Ok, I stand corrected and all apologies to Injun, irregardless of the idiotic things this person wrote because of their blind allegiance.

    That's an apology?!!

"......Sam? Football?...BLAH, BLAH, BLAH....I fell asleep trying to read this novel.

I won't get in a tit-for-tat with someone that has time on their hands to write novels on truckers report, sorry, I have to go to work....go sell this BS to someone else..."

In other words, youcan dish it out but not take it too?

You just gotta' keep it going.

    Good luck with your career

Hello all and thanks for following my mindless thread -

Today I am really enjoying my first day retired from trucking. The criminal activity thing didn't work out too well so I decided to stay at home and switch between ESPN, Home Shopping Network and the Hallmark Channel, then I went out and planted some flowers in the front yard, all ex-truckers do things like plant flowers.

When I was planting the flowers I was thinking, "...boy I'm glad that I don't have to do that real hard trucking thing after all, that would be TOO tough for me to handle..." It's nice to smell the morning air and not have to put up with those loud trucks and all those diesel vapors, not that I put up with them anyway, heck, I just got my CDL so I barely was in a truck in the first place...

I will now do a Pee Wee Hermann and ride my bike to the local Micky "D"s and feast on their dollar menu, of course I will see the big rigs steering to avoid me as a ride along on the freeway, but that's cool, I'll just look at them and smile all the while thinking "...boy, I'm glad I'm not one of those silly truckers working for peanuts..."

Retirement from trucking is cool, really cool and glamorous to boot, no sleepers, lot lizards, CB's, flop houses, cheap hotels or logging hours..........not that I ever encountered those things anyway....the only thing I log is the log that goes in my fireplace when I'm getting ready to roast marshmellows, newly retired truckers get to roast marshmellows you know.

I'll keep you up to date on my retirement from trucking, good luck to you.:biggrin_25525:
