Good one, Chompi. Can't argue the merits, so go into sexist comments instead.

I'm humbled now. Shall I go to the kitchen and rustle up some bacon and beans for you?

Ok, I stand corrected and all apologies to Injun, irregardless of the idiotic things this person wrote because of their blind allegiance.

However, NO apologies regarding anything I wrote in reference to the orientation trip.

I'm not going to do a back and forth, bottom line is this:
I am a professional and as such -
I will get experience, run loads, learn as much as I can and run legal.
If Swift treats me right....I stay.
If Swift doesn't or other opportunities arise.......then I look at other options, it's a business decision geared towards self-preservationi, pure and simple.

And regardless of what anybody here says, I don't believe in job-hopping, however, I can't go in this with the mindset of blind company allegiance. I try them out, do the work and if we have a good working partnership, decent pay a good DM and organization, then those are all pluses that as a professional, I'm not gonna ignore.

But playing "BattleShip" on truckers report won't make me any money.

Let me try to say this a different way. We'll play pretend so nobody's feelings get hurt.

Sam is this guy who has always wanted to be a football player because he feels like it's in his blood. Generations of his family have been football players and a couple even went to the NFL. Sam has some talent, but, knowing he's still a little raw, goes to a private coach to get better. After some private practice with this coach, he feels ready to try out.

His goal is to play with the Buffalo Bills. He'd be okay if he could get on with the Broncos, too, but the Bills is really where he wants to be. The talent scouts all look at him, but only two are actually interested: the Bengals and the Lions. He is told by Buffalo and Denver that he's just still too raw and to check back with them after a season or two. Well, Cincinnati just isn't his kind of town and he heard the owner was kind of.....odd. So, he chooses to go with the Lions.

He shows up in Detroit and sees how run down the city is because of the severely depressed economy. He goes to the stadium to get fitted for his jersey and see the area. The coach shows him around and introduces him to some of the other players, then he is told to go spend time with his family until his uniforms get in.

At home, he is a hero. He just got hired as a professional football player by the NFL! The local media all want interviews with him and he agrees. Question after question is asked about everything from what Deroit looks like, will he like it there, what does he think of his team mates.....on and on.

When his interview is aired, he is talking about how poor Detroit is, it's all nothing but a slum city and he can't see why anybody stays here. He goes on to say the locker room at Lion Stadium just isn't as good as he had hoped it would be. And his team mates? Well, he is seen on TV saying they were out on the field tossing a ball around and joking with each other. And that it looked like a Weightwatchers convention. Why, Sam had never seen so much lard on a football field before. But he was happy to be home and looking forward to getting on the field.

Some of his team mates saw his interview. They wanted to see what kind of guy was going to be representing them on the field. And here's their guy running down their team, their city and their facilities. He hasn't even made a single play with them. He was only showed around. Sure, the Lions have a bad losing streak going. They want to get better. That's why they are searching out new talent. And this is how the new guy treats them.

One player tries to talk some sense to Sam. The player is understandably irritated that this guy, who hasn't even put a Lions jersey on yet, is talking bad about some of the team members and reflecting it on the team as a whole. In other words, whether Sam intended to or not, he has offended one of the players who wasn't even there that day. Sam just doesn't get it. And, it appears, he doesn't care either.

Problem is, without those other team members, Sam wouldn't have a team to go to. Now he has offended at least some of them. He's lucky one of them is trying to set him straight, but apparently he just doesn't think he needs his help. Sam will do it on his own.

Really, how long do you think Sam will last? With a track record of such poor sportsmanship, it will be extremely doubtful the Bills or Broncos will have anything at all to do with him.

So good luck, Sam. Show the rest of us how it's done. I'll get the popcorn and warm the bench with the ex-cons and weirdos who are my team mates already and watch you fall flat on your face.

Oh, and the other problem with Sam is he has no idea which team member it is who called him on the phone to help him out a little. That team member rightfully was upset by the review that was given. But Sam just doesn't want to listen.
