Maxxforce 11 HP Fuel Pump Rattle

Lost fuel pressure the other week, primed it and it had a loud rattle from HP pump area and lost prime in a few seconds. I replaced the pump with a new one. Didn’t notice anything wrong with gears or anything. Truck is running good, but can still hear a rattle from that area. It’s not near as loud or consistent but still is noticeable. I used the old spring and top housing, gears, front housing and pully. Did I miss something?

On top of the pump. The new pump I ordered did not come with the two black housings on top. I reused the old ones off my pump. I’m assuming that’s an issue and could be the reason of the rattle and me blowing lines on side of pump after a few minutes running?

 

That’s exactly what I wanted to hear lol.. It had the pistons in housing and I just pressed chambers and springs back in. Dern thing runs good though just keeps blowing the clip in hoses off side. Thought I might have had them switched up, but reading this idk ‍♂️.. I can’t find anyone that’ll touch it with 10 foot pole so trying to do it myself.
