They wouldn't be so bad to work on if they put the engine under the bonnet instead of under the cab!!!
-
Our company bought a bunch of them and after 200,000 miles the air compresser to the air goes out.

the pics on the maxxforce 15 cat looks alot better than the little 13 liter, it should also work and run better after learning about the bugs on the little one

That single turbo looks a bit on the small side, I wonder how much horsepower it'll be able to put out in Denver and Albuquerque. And look at the size of that "hot" EGR cooler, how much more EGR do they have to use on the 15L to meet emissions (considering they didn't even hit the emissions target on the 13 with all that extra EGR and its coolers) -

The engine is a compound turbo setup. But yes the high pressure turbo is pretty small. The exhaust side looks like they pulled it off a Cummins QSA.

At least they cleaned up the 2010 13L, not as much crap on them. So far the biggest problem I've seen is the Davco introducing air to the fuel system causing fuel pressure to spike, setting a high fuel pressure code, thus derating the engine.
Is any other International Tech having issues with servicemaxx bringing up a "Error:Java.Lang.NullPointerException" code on 2010 MF9 engines. Or is it just me?? Check engine light is on and this is the only code it shows.
