Yes Sharky & sisbro are in Quincy, along with a few others. Sharky, Sisbro & J&S are all owned by the same company or person(sharky). My reason for not going with a local company like one of them is Sisbro & J&S are not hiring students right now. J&S is all hazmat & I don't have hazmat. I was hoping for local or regional runs right now & Sharky is not hiring for regional right now. I am looking into other smaller local companies. But like I said before I was looking for regional so if anyone has any info on companies the run regional in this areait would be a great help.

Running area is supposedly 48 states and eastern Canada. I rarely get west of i35 when I'm running unless I get home. I live in Oklahoma. Newbies are getting longer miles and more "national" freight then the older drivers so you may get to be an actual national driver if you hire on.

Pay I am not sure on for new hires. I am thinking about .39cpm but I may be wrong. Check with your recruiter

Fuel stops are primarily Pilot's. The fuel program may throw in a Loves or TA now and again but nothing else.

Tractors are a mix of Freightliner Century class and Cascadias. We also have a bit of International Prostars thrown in.

Miles are down right now. here my miles from the beginning of this year to a few weeks ago. There are 2 pages showing my day to day miles and my dispatched miles per trip per pay period. I will be updating it shortly as soon as I get my affairs in order.

I am currently on medical leave. If you are obese you WILL be getting a sleep apnea test and the company WILL NOT pay for it. If you have insurance, it wont cover enough of it.

Dunno when I will be back to work. Depends on what the company says after I complete my sleep apnea test. Dont know if i really want to go back to these guys anyway. They are doing everything they can do to force me out without actually terminating me. I make too much cpm for them to give me good miles compared to new lower payed drivers.

As to where you will drive, most of the freight seems to be midwest to northeast. You can look at page 2 of my spreadsheet to see where I drive. I dont have cities listed but I do have states. Mostly east of the Miss but occasionally I get somewhat west. Mostly when I go home as I live in oklahoma. The furthest west I've been since the beginning of the year is Eastern Nebraska. I do have some friends here who do get to the west coast but not often.

Once the economy gets back on its feet, national drivers may actually get to be National drivers. But who knows how long that will take...

Ok seems like a good thing.. Are the reefers load when you're trying to sleep? Also is there long wait times to get unloaded??

yep the reefers run when they have a temp control load on. A lot of our reefers have the whisper editions and can hardly be heard running. the reefers have cycle sentry mode so they don't run all the time is CS is on.

As to loading/unloading, depending on the customer, we get detention pay after 2 hours. However some customers refuse to pay detention so even if you file, your SOL for collecting it.

TruckerLlew is right about the newbies. I have been with the company for over 15 yrs and have seen the new drivers get offered alot better loads then I do even though I was empty before they was. I run national and I'm lucky if I can get 2500 miles for the week.
