F-em then. Training companies trailers all have some sort of damage unless it brand new. I work for a major carrier and just about every trl I get is beat up. Find another job b4 they have time to pin a accident on you, and show em our favorite finger on the way out! Otr junk driving jobs are a dime a dozen anyway. Good luck
May get fired - Need advice please.

Nearly every trailer I pick up has some damage, I asked out trailer shop guy about reporting & he said most damage is never reported...
I report what looks like new stuff with holes or splits in the outer trailer skin, wheels damaged, but really if its roadworthy we are good to go... -
That's what I do too. The other day for instance, a trailer I had a week ago had a new dent in it when I picked it up later. I called that one in. Never had a problem not reporting every single dent and scratch on every trailer.

I read thru all 5 pages and you've yet to explain the damage that was done or reported or whatever??? Was it missing a light, had a hole in the side or was a whole tandem set missing???? A little more info sure would help out.DrtyDiesel Thanks this.

go to your user account, and from there, you can select how many posts per page, i think as high as 40 per page, cutting down the multiple pages you have now.SHC Thanks this.

Do you have to pay for the CDL training still? I agree with the ones that take photo`s of damaged trailers. A picture
speaks for itself. When ever I used to get a rental trailer, IMEDIATELY, I take pictures of all sides and the trailer Number. -
Now, Off subject, but not really, I see your 46 years old, and 19 years in? 1 more year and you broke the rookie status. I say this because, many cant make it that far without getting into accidents, Tickets, and Fired multiple times. Once you brake the 20 years mark, your considered a Pro, been there, done that. Now for the O.P., look at this driver, Almost 20 years in and Probably Doing really good. I dont think your going to make it this far, like SLC Trucker has. He is only 46 years old. I would like to congratulate you SLC, when you crack the 20 year mark. This is a MAJOR accomplishment, earned, not given.SHC Thanks this.

No matter how big you feel when you get your first truck rookies make mistakes... often BIG mistakes. they cost trucking companies big $$$... but they have such huge turnover they often give second and even third chances....
DrtyDiesel and Wargames Thank this. -
I wrecked a 2012 prostar. I'm still here. I hope roehl will let the op slide.

I don't know what the damage was I never saw it - from what they told me it is obvious damage the trailer is separated at the side or something - 10 grand worth of damage. That is where I have a problem because I checked out all the lights when picking it up and took off my trailer lock when dropping it off - so I'd think would've noticed something. Also there were guards when checking in and they walked around the trailer and never said anything about any damage.
I was fired today - the guy was a #### because I didn't return his call on Fri (called me at 230pm) I have bill collectors calling me and didn't get his message until 5. He was long gone until today - Tues after holiday weekend.
I made a comment about the "suppoed" video and he claims he saw it and I said "I hope so" and hung up.
I talked to a recruiter from another big company - I was honest about everything and she said if Roehl reports the incident to them I will have to wait 3 years from now and have a spotless record for 6 months from another trucking company.
