    Thanks Injun.

Found out tonight when talking to dispatch that there was a breakdown in communication this afternoon. Found out that the load to Texarkana really did not have an appt and that I could have taken it and showed up by 10 in the morning. Did learn when talking to them at the window, next time here, and have a question about a t-called load, come to the window and talk to them, and not my home terminal. Oh well. Live and learn. Lost out on 630 miles by morning.

Means there is no one single color or two colors of fleet trucks. Swift has been getting in a lot of different colors, but Prime has been doing that for a long time. If you look in a Prime yard, you'll see every color truck imaginable.

    Hello Everyone,

Well, week three ending. On my way to PA for a Sunday drop. Was supposed to be home on Sunday for a Dental appt on Mon. Not sure that I am going to make it. Yes, my DM knew. I was told that when I drop this load, do not accept any pplan unless it is home. So if there is none, I guess that this means that I will sit. Oh well. I am starting to see some of the same practices as far as home time as I did with my last company. And that is, we get you home on your reqeusted date, and nothing as far as the time. So if get home at 6 pm Sunday night, then supposedly I do not have to be ready again until 6 pm Wednesday. Now as far as I figure, do get a decent load, I should be ready that morning. So I guess, out 3.5 weeks and home 2 full days. Once in the L/P program, out 3-4 weeks, then home 3-4 full days. I was supposed to be home on Friday but had to change that due to the appt. I know that I can take most of Wednesday, but by the time that I get a load, will already be tired and not really want to run all night after up all day.

Sorry for venting here this time. Now will just have to see what happens on Sunday. Maybe someone here can tell me what kinda of freight is around Smithton that will get me to Columbus on Sunday.

Be safe out there everyone, and thanks for letting me vent this time.

The way I work home time is I dont count the day I go home at all.
If I get home sunday at 1800, I go back out 0900ish thursday.
So monday, tuesday, wedsday, are full 3 days off. Been doing it that way
for 7 years now. Well I would take 4 days off but, now they are cracking down hard
on turn in tuck after 3 days. I guess once it gets really stupid here ill just quit.
I dont need to work I just do it becusa I am still young and my son is all grown up
I get stir crazy sitting at house.

The way that I understand it here, at least the Cols Terminal, they count it in 24 hour increments. So hence, you get home at 12 noon Sunday, you are available noon Wednesday. They count. If I get back late Sunday I am going to ask when I am supposed to be back and see if I get 3 full days.

Fr8, thanks. If a Wal-mart, it better be the one that is in Grove City.

    Hello Everyone,

Well back out of the house now. Started with another short one on Thursday, a drop in Winchester, VA, then pplan with another 390 that was supposed to be a drop, then changed to a live unload. The another pplan going to Indy for Mon morning, and then to Lancaster, TX. Well that first one in Indy, changed to a live unload at 1800 on Monday. Now it is being T-called in Cols. Lost the TX load. Now probably going back either East or SE with another short one on Sunday for Monday morning, with my luck.

Talked to L/P recruitting dept on Tuesday and I was told that I need to bring my miles up, pick up another 5500 in 2 weeks, by the 29th. My only problem, and I asked them, how do I control that. I can not control what the planners do. I am in an area that has lots of short loads. A catch 22. I guess that we will see what happens. My DM and FM/Ops Mgr is aware of what is going on right now. Was told that on Sunday if given another short one, refuse it, but then that means sitting.

Everyone take care and stay safe out there.
