True, But it is a steady income for a new driver, and you get paid for all miles over $90 a day at .30 a mile. It is for new student drivers.

 

I agree. I took the option for the pay. Becuase as a new driver I am bound to screw things up a bit and might not get the 2100 miles I need until I get some real experince

 

For me it's a good option. Being retired from the Military I do get my pension, Its not alot but enough for me to live and pay pills making a guanteed $90 daily for the first few months

 

Well Day 2 down. today was just filled with paper work. COMDATA Direct deposit and going thru company policies. Tomorrow we are told we will learn how to chain tires finish up paper work then be assigned a trainer. Looks like some of us will be travling to California to meet up with our trainer. But wont find that out til tomorrow morning.

Overall I am happy with the people here at May. They did not press the per diem. Just told us to go with a gut feeling and choose. They did let us know the goods and bads of the program. I chose not to take it. It seems like that they truly want us to suceed in this.

Only thing is that we are not technically hired until we are with our trainers. So I havent started making the $420 a week as a trainee. we were told that we get a $150 "bonus" for our 3 days at orientaion. That did kinda irk a few of us. But not a big deal to me.
