When I went thru May's orientation, they started me with a tractor parked behind the building, I treated it like a normal day, opened the hood checked the fluids, belts, etc/// treated it as though I was going to drive a truck I had never seen before, since I had not. Finished the tractor pretrip, then hooked up the trailer they gave me the number to. By the way stop just before you back under the trailer, hookup your airlines and trailer cord there, do a walk around the trailer before you back under it.
As far as the drive test they are real big on not hitting anything including curbs. Just went for a drive, some freeway and back, and back the trailer back into the spot I pulled it out of, Stop in front of the spot and get out and look before backing it in.
There drive tet was no big deal. -

2nd day here, which means I made it through the first. Did the pre-trip, skills and the drive test like I knew what I was doing. So far May has presented themselves exactly like their recruiters said they would. If this continues they will be an excellent company to work for. Tomorrow is the last day of orientation and i will find out what happens from here.
