You really are behind the curve here, the worst offenders of pollution is above ground testing fallout that we still are living with and microplastics.
Look into the great Baby Tooth Survey that was done from 1959 to 1970, and it provided some proof of strontium 90 pollution we all have to live with and this may be a reason for our high cancer rate.
The USDA uses Cesium-137 to research soil erosion, this is from the fallout.
Microplastics is destroying more life than ever before but no one seems to care about that.
Maybe the cost of a New Truck is being manipulated….

Has anybody seen any construction going on at any rest areas or pull outs for electric truck charging? All this is a big money grab for some people and they are trying to push it down our throats.
Oxbow, Deere hunter, thatsright and 1 other person Thank this. -
EV is coming.
Whether we like it or not.
It'll be interesting to see how the manufacturers handle what the guy don't want. And other sectors for that matter.
The clock was already held back 4 years. Now there's too much investment forward to go back again. And forward. -
Follow the money. Why is there such a push for full electric when anyone with any common sense knows we don’t have the grid or generation capacity in this country to handle the load. Why is there only one company looking into a hybrid diesel electric system and why has there been so much push back on their company?
Hybrid or alternative fuels would make the most sense, but electric is being forced on everyone through mandates. And what we do in this country doesn’t amount to a hill of beans when it comes to worldwide pollution. There is probably more air pollution these days from all the fires since the greenies have gotten pretty much all the logging shut down.W923, wis bang, TheLoadOut and 6 others Thank this. -
One of the most liberal pundits I know of, Jeffrey St. Clair, pointed out that building out our power grid to what it would take for 100% electric transportation would require more copper than has been mined in the history of the planet to date.
No environmental costs there, right?
Our government operates for the exclusive benefit of the very wealthiest and all of these regulations are being promulgated for their economic benefit.W923, Rideandrepair, TheLoadOut and 4 others Thank this. -
Wonder how the Chinese are doing it with 60% ev on the roads and a population of 1.4B
And all the new ev manufacturers. -
Rideandrepair, Oxbow, snowwy and 2 others Thank this. -
Oh there’s also the fact that power is controlled by state owned corporations in China, meanwhile here it’s mostly for-profit corporations.
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
