MBE4000 Boost

Pablo I dont mean to hijack this thread and I apologize in advance but I need your help in reference to a Volvo Cluster Buzzer Amplifier Chip, please PM me when you get a chance. Thank you very much and sorry again I dont know another way to get in touch.

 

I do not remember what chip is used, becous I had to fix many dashboards, so just post me a high resolution photo of board to point u on amplifier

first of all check speaker resistance

 

I have checked the speaker I am getting 15-16 ohm of resistance I have two and both are good, When I check the voltage coming out of the two prongs while the cluster is connected there is no voltage at the prongs to the speaker.

 

I should add that when I take the cluster apart and connect to the dash turn on a signal I can hear the clicking but very quietly I have to get really close to it to hear it. So the problem is in the volume somewhere.

 

not so easy deal, try to trace leads from speaker, I think they run to very simple aplifier on one transistor

as i can see this is VDO dashboard
