MBN Problems....

    Not only is it running hot it wont boost over 28psi it was returned to stock 2 weeks ago and straight back to 1200*F at any rpm pulling.
    Its has to be the fuel settings in the ECM thats the only thing that hasent been apart!!! I will CAT here one last chance to get it right on the dyno but they seem reluctant to change FLS/FTS settings.
    I will keep you posted,I might pm you the results of the dyno could be to embarrassing to post here lol.

    I think you should see a minimum of 540hp, but 1200* thats pretty hot for a stock C16, im sure they have checked the intercooler right, also no exhaust leaks?

    Everthing has been checked and checked again I have told them to put wingnuts on it will be quicker to pull to bits again next time.
    It has to be ECM related if they wont try the numbers DDS gave me I will have to do it myself.

    Cat here didnt give me a hard time, cause i walked in and told em change this n that.. but i have heard endless stories of guys who cannot get cat to even do soemthing as simple as turn soft cruise off and change the delay on the throttle for more response..

    might have been something along the lines of me telling them when they went umm, that if they wouldnt i would find somone who would.

    There is something they are not telling me Agent,I can get anything changed that I want apart from fuel settings.
    It will be to do with the emissions and CAT in the States will be telling them what to do over here.
    There is only one reason for heat and that is to control emissions so I dont like my chances on getting it changed.
    And as far as putting your foot down in the last 10 years I have brought 3 brand new excavators and 1 D6R dozer of them and this is my 3rd CAT powered truck I would of thought I had a bit of sway with them but........NO,when you come to emission control the greenys have to much say.

    Only thing emission controlled on it should be low Nox programming in the ecm, unless they did something else to it like catalytic converters in the mufflers.

    I put a new set of mufflers on so I'm clear on that one,From what I have read and heard the heat has to be high to get a complete burn keeping Nox low and CAT dont want to change that or there emissions are out.
    I could be wrong but why else wont they give some different numbers a shot.
    My friends 620 cummins runs all day at 800-900*F why do they get away with it??

    If it does'nt do well enough on the dyno,Cat might give 'em new numbers to put in.

    screw the emissions crap, tell em you'll sign a wavier and only use it offroad.. :biggrin_25525:

    You know our country Agent very small,There is only 90 C16s in this country I think they will find out.
