I am getting a inframe on a cat c 15 2001 Kw serial 6nz35729 732,065 miles. Is there a aftermarket injector option available? The head is cracked in 4 places, so I need a new head too? I want to fix my baby up nicely while I have the chance.

And a C16 with the pyro running at 1400*F.... -
They all (C15, C16) crack between the inlet valves, its very common, if the cracks aren't too bad you can re run the head with no problems, I have seen it done many times.
Heat does make the problem worse and happen faster, I have seen cracks wide enough to put a pen tip in.
Have also seen cracks between the valves on 5 out of 6 cylinders in a engine that was being disassembled for other reasons. It had no faults that would indicate the head might be cracked. -
we had a 3406e in my truck , the oil cooler went sending temps to the roof , after changing it water started going in the oil and it jammed the engine when we lifted the head in was cracked in 2 cyls, we just dropped in a 6nz, never knew they cracked also
