on his website it says he will include hp and any parameter changes in the price.so if he'd flash to 550/1850 included in the 999 might be not bad. im not sure how he is up-rating considering you need a password etc from cat to do so. if he has found a way around this maybe he can do trim codes and fls/fts codes too???

Trim codes can be done by anyone.... Ask him if he can do fls/fts codes... if he can ill give you some settings but you will need a turbo to handle the power then.

Theres a "back door" to it is all i know.

You can probably run the stock turbo but will need to run it with the wastegate disconected.

so, i chatted w/ this j-ball guy and apparently he has a master password and can completely erase and re-generate ecms... so i told him to see if he can take a 70 pin and load 7cz program into it and he's getting back to me... sounds interesting. how'd the dyno pulls go? and if DDS is reading this tell me what you think too if you dont mind...

I had a injector "go bad" friends shop doing the overhead cracked the studs off one injector. Went to pick it up this morning and it was running on 5 cyl. Its getting fixed now and CAT told me to come in tomorrow.

Sorry for the hijack, but figured this would be a good place for an update on my "MBN Madness".
550, you may remember me "picking your brain" about a very anemic MBN in my '04 W900.
Darn hurricane put a halt to any changes I had planned, and I just ran my truck like the sick puppy it was.
One day couple of weeks back, returning from so. Chicago, on I-57, I stopped at the 159 mm for a break, and heard a fellow on the CB saying he had the software to modify any of the big three engine makes. After speaking to him, he hooked his laptop to my motor, and started showing me all that was wrong with it- soft cruise, injector codes that were "all over the board", couple of other things, but what I remember most was some sort of protection program that de-rated my motor to 75% of the rated hp. My 475 was only putting out about 360 hp at the flywheel! This was due to a code that appeared after the small wastegate hose had split almost in two in a hard to see spot.
Fixing that stuff, putting in the 5232 codes, and up-rating to 1850 torque cost me $200; (small price to turn me into a very happy camper).
Fuel mileage doesn't appear to have changed much, still around 5.3, but power increase was awesome!
One concern I do have, is the huge difference (number ways) in the previous injector codes; something like 2670 for a couple, 3402 for a couple, (not the actual #s, just trying to show how broad the range was between them). The fellow set them all to 5232, stating that the previous setting was so the motor was in compliance as far as the NOX crap.-
    Your thoughts?

    Hi All

Your ecm does not need to be erased. You can flash your ecm to a 7CZ file over top of the mbn and all that will change is the hp, all parameters will transfer from mbn. ( unless there are any parameters not included in the 7CZ flash) I have flashed many and had no problems.

I just overhauled a 6NZ c15. I installed Cat 6ts injectors, 600 turbo and C15 marine cam. Flashed to 7cz 600 2300 rpm with just field rerate 0 fls and 0 fts. Had it on the dyno to seat the rings, it pulled a 735 to the wheels and 36psi boost at 1450 rpm. Add the 15 % for drivetrain loss thats 845 hp at the flywheel.

Will have fuel mileage results by next week.

Thats impressive DDS, i figured the 600 program was VERY strong, whats the part number on the 6ts injectors if you dont mind me asking? and did you flash a later or early 7CZ file?

droy the trim codes on your motor were trim codes that were stamped on the injector,t hats why they were all over.

DDS, when you flash the ecm w/ 7cz program it still eliminates 30psi boost de-rate?? as i have found someone that can apparently put whatever program i want in a 70 pin. And will 7cz be too much for my mbn turbo ?
