    Mr.Haney, when you describe "Protrusion" is that the same as "Counter Bores" ? Way back when I had a Cummins, I had someone come out and do this(counter bores) when I was having the inframe done.

    Well if I overhaul it which cam should I put in Mr haney and part number I have a 7cz file in it ...

    And also I don't think my turbo seals are out...I know when they go bad truck will smoke ...

    might want to leave the stock cam in there if money is tight i just had the 130-9710 put in mine they did the cam bearings and all the rockers and rollers my cam was flakeing so i just went with the marine cam was around $8500 us out the door

    Protusion is referred to as the height of the liner flange above the deck surface. To raise the protrusion you cut the block deck surface and add shims. When a liner has sunk, the deck surface has actually worn under the flange and allowed the liner to recede into the block. You have to true this up by cutting the block and adding shims to raise the liner to original specs.........it is referred to as counter bores also

    Well I heard people complain when they switch to 130-9710 truck would smoke white between 1200 and 1500 rpm
