MBN to 6NZ Help

    I would also say that if that thing has been sitting for a year or more then it would probably need some work done to it before it would be a reliable motor. Yes it may be sealed and everything but there is probably a good bit of rust inside that motor in places it should not be.

    I also would think that with a good qulity rebuild on yours with 6NZ tuning and with the right upgrades to it such as a fully balanced motor you should be able to match if not exceed your MPG wants out of it. My aspect on things is more diesel performance based then anything which is why I am giving you the suggestions that I am with the balance and all.

    do you flash the original mbn ecm to 6nz file. Will it run properly at 550 /1850. be great if i could get this thing pulling like a cat

    can the original mbn ecm be flashed to 6nz 550HP/1850TQ it would be nice to make this motor pull like a cat

    Yes this can be done easily. You also can use a 7cz file in it.

    if you flash mbn to a 6nz do yo need to move the boost line to the turbo like the old ones?

    No, leave it the way it is. If it has low boost afterwards, put a block in the line

    sometimes the electronic wastegate soleniod is stuck open allowing boost to the wastegate actuator. The MBN has a weak wastegate actuator and if this happens the wastegate will open early, causing a low bosst condition after you flash the 6nz or 7cz file
