And you "know" this how? Just curious. Key word there is "know".

    Thanks

Lol if I knew what I know now, I would also just have bought an established MC. On the spot market my second year is so much easier than first. My MC starts with 911 and I have missed a lot of good freight because of that. I have even had brokers tell me in my face that they don't load anybody with mc's newer than 9.

    Dave_in_AZ and keeptrucking Thank this.

Although MC numbers are going away soon brokers are still using the MC as an indication of experience for a carrier,so older MC still does help with that along with insurance rates.

    Badmon Thanks this.

Why do people hate on those who fast track? My MC# will be brand spankin new. I already have several brokers willing to give me loads. As a matter of fact, I'm flying to Houston in a week or so to meet with one. It's how she does business. Wants to talk face to face and show me numbers. Real numbers. Flatbed loads. Avg 2.5 - 3 bones per mile. I also have a fleet owner willing to give me loads. His loads aren't something to write home about, but profitable. And I'll find more. Take this post any way you like.

Some of you are already foaming at the mouth. Angry and bitter. Crabs in a bucket mentality. You know who you are. Well Seasoned bullies. I am not speaking of the masses here, just a select few, very few. Thank goodness.
For those taking an alternate route to trucking, good on you! If you have a plan and feel you can make it work, why the hell not go for it? Don't let ill willed people sway you. Maintain your resolve. There is, however, a caveat- Don't mistake good advice for negativity. The are many here with great arguments against bad ideas, not so good ideas, and great ideas for that matter. The difference is they are well meaning and are looking out for your/our best interest.

Read the entirety of their posts to understand it fully before responding. You'd be surprised at how often this is not the case. Good luck and prosperity to all drivers, even the angry ones.

Sounds like yours has been chewed off. I'd be angry bitter and rude too. Also, it isn't unethical. You live in a very small world. Also, your signature says hello.
