I'll try to remember to look at my countryside, i thought it showed tare weight but could be wrong. I was told by the buyer for our company last year that he could get westmor for less money than countryside. He did not show me the quotes so he might not have been telling me the truth.

I'm sure it's like anything else all depends on who's buying and who's selling. I don't see many westmor's down at Koch. Mainly countryside and polar.

I'd like to actually meet somebody pulling one of the new Exosent tanks. They make kind of _/ shape. Idk how to show it on a computer look them up and you'll see what I'm talking about. As I sit here and stare at them I can't help but wonder how one gets them MT with a front pump if you're not on the level.

Not sure maybe one of y'all have a better idea. They claim to be a trailer for maximum safety and maximum payload. Although they appear to be a lot heavier than the standard 331s you see.

I thought the same thing when I saw them. very odd looking. I see quite a few westmor here in Iowa. They look like nice trailers but it seems like all trailers are pretty much the same.

Wth is with that tank design?

I was told the 2 countryside we bought in December were closer to $138,000. We also converted 2 propane tanks to haul DME. Basically they have to completely clean them out since DME is non oderized and propane is. The company I work for half a lot of propane, so they had the trailers already.

Actually, that would be about right. In between 43,400-44,300 and my truck with full tanks is just shy of 21,000.

It makes a person wonder. I can see low center of gravity but I'd think unloading would be a son of a ##### and getting it empty would be very difficult.

Last I knew having a tank purged wasn't cheap. I called a company a while ago to see about getting a propane tank purged to use for an air compressor and was quoted $1000 to have it purged with nitrogen I kept thinking a few years ago when they had a propane shortage in MN a friend had his bottles purged for about $10000 a bottle.

I can see 138k easily. The ones I've seen for the 125-130 range are new old stock.

That may very well be what they figured and why they didn't out a tare weight on it if that's the case. That's the best I can figure anyway. I'll have to do some looking next time I'm at the yard and see how many of our trailers have a tare on them.

That trailer has the pump mounted in a good location to me. The upper portion that sits atop the fifth wheel has the little drop on it. That way it will come down with the rest of the liquid and pump off.

That belly section where the pump is mounted is completely flat. So I don't see a problem unloading it at all. But how long would it take to unload 13k gals? And I hope it has a blckmer pump and not that coskey crap or it will break down half way thru the unload

I can't speak for propane but I'd assume it'd take about an hour or an hour and a half to pump off 13k gallons of ammonia. I can pump off 9k gallons in about 1/2 hour to 45 min depending on the pressures.

I've never seen a newer trl without the tare weight on the data Plate. Newer data plates have way more info on them then those ancient bottles I've seen in the past.

    GVWR 65,000 - maximum payload 46,400 = 18,600.

I bet your empty weight is right around there.
