The 7th and final week is in cuba, Alabama, paid 500 bucks
This week will start Sunday at lunchtime, you will be assigned your truck before you get there and that's where you stay for the week in your truck in their yard.
In my final week there were a total of 10 otr guys and every one of them were given 2013 trucks
Everyone I have met in the company have been helpful, not one negative person I have met yet
If I missed anything please ask away
McElroy

Another question...lol...
I'm overweight, but I have been losing weight and will continue my diet for my health... I can pretty much carry 100 pounds, move around, and climb up to a roof, but yes the weight is a factor. Do you think that McElroy would put that as a negative against me? -
The only thing we did physically was the agility test, basically all that is you do a series of tests that will monitor your heart rate such as, there is a table about 3 ft tall with a number underneath each corner, you simply walk to the first corner look under stand up and say the number and go to the next until you have walked around two times then they check your heart rate
Another test would be you walk up the ladder and on the 3rd step you count to 30 every time you get to the 3rd step then check your heart rateSamdaman Thanks this. -
2 more questions...

Do you get paid weekly or bi-weekly? -

How much do you actually tarp? -

So this is my last day in CDL training school. I've been doing great and I fully expect to pass my test...I am, however, very disappointed with McElroy. 2 weeks ago I got a call, about a day or 2 after I did the app online, from someone named Cindy. She was very dry on the phone and seemed like she was in a rush and was just talking to me because it was protocol to call every applicant back or something. She went over my info on the app with me and then told me that she is going to forward my info to processing and I should be getting a phone call. My response was Great, and when should I expect to receive that phone call? She said whenever they finish processing my app. she was too cut and dry. So guess what?? Over 2 weeks later and...no phone call!...So a recruiter shows up in my school this morning and starts talking up Mcelroy, which I gotta admit has a good deal. So I ask the question if Cindy says to expect a phone call and I never received it, what does that mean. He tells me, and I really appreciated his answer, it possible that they pulled your DOT long form and saw that you were overweight and not tall enough so they couldn't hire you. He said that its mostly because of their insurance. So I says ok I get that but don't you think that it was unprofessional of Cindy not to call me back to say that my app wasn't accepted? He said yes but maybe she didn't want to deal with the confrontation....I'm upset because of the lack of professionalism, not at the fact that I was denied employment for being overweight. And if Cindy can't take it from somebody than they should put somebody in that position who can!!
