One of the drivers at my barn used to work for coca cola, he said the most he ever made was 2200 dls after taxes. I sure do believe it as beverage and food are a hella of a good workout.

Longmont is grocery. Think C stores, mom and pop's, etc. it's almost all ramp work and it's all loose stacked in totes. (floor to ceiling, nose to tail). A lot of team routes out of here.

Denver is restaurants. Think Chain stores. pizza huts, fast foods, red lobsters, etc. It's lift gate palletized. so you take the pallet off via the lift gate and then break it down and run it in via two wheeler. Lot of key stops. (deliver when they are closed, i.e. mostly night) and i don't believe much team anymore. Night runs are ok (no life) no parking etc, but you're stacking the freezer and if you fall and hurt yourself, ain't nobody around for hours. and restaurants don't do snow removal in the day........... at night?????????

ETA: You're out of Denver, you're going to chain. (and slip seat, so don't expect chains to actually be there). All food service doesn't care at all about the weather, product has to get there. Expect to chain a lot and expect to get stuck when the passes close. And all those going west into little mountain towns? yeah, the new guys get those runs, cuz nobody wants them.

The money is real and the money is there. but you earn every penny. Mclane pays the best.

Since its been posted here that colorado is hurting for drivers, you best bet is getting with UPS freight.

    CJ701 Thanks this.

Sometimes companies are willing to overlook the 1 year requirement, give OD a call and who knows they might give you a chance.

    Good luck.

    CJ701 Thanks this.

You will make good money and be in a decent shape. I frequently deliver to Mclane in Jessup PA and their drivers seem to be in pretty good shape. Most of them are not young either

    CJ701 and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.
