I'm a driver at Mclane Foodservice, on pace to make 80,000 this year and I'm not even at the highest pay grade yet. You will make good money here.

Anyone reading this can read my experience with McLane grocery. http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr.../235132-mclane-grocery-suneast-kissimmee.html

I have spoken to many many many food service guys, Sygma, USFoods, Sysco, PFG, etc. etc. can you make $? Yes...err...well depends. Is it worth it to ME? NO! It's ridiculously overrated. I must've worked at a bad terminal because it really made me see McLane as a joke. In the end I was working 4-5 days and was only making $14.xx an hour as a DRIVER!!!! And this is busting out 18-20 stops which averaged over 300 miles (Only ran inside of FL) and very heavy...so I should've been banking but I was not. Of course someones gotta do it I am just saying to any prospective drivers take everything with a grain of salt and do your research, because I had a bad experience doesn't necessarily mean McLane and foodservice in general wouldn't work for anyone else. If you do get the gig always ask for the pay sheet on your assigned route...I was always told "so and so will have it when you get back, etc." Only time I got a pay sheet was when they mailed me my check when I quit, thats where it confirmed I was only making $14.xx an hour.
No ramp and graveyard shift for me anymore, my back and knees surely appreciate it.

    blazer1 Thanks this.

Mclane Grocery must have a different pay scale but $14/hr sounds extremely exaggerated....my hourly average on my last paycheck was at least almost 3X that...I highly doubt there would be that big of a difference in pay within the same company...our warehouse guys make around 20.00/hr
