I agree you should of at least dragged the empty trailer to nearest terminal, not abandonded it. Or at least stood your ground and refused to leave cokes yard until repairs where made.

My grandfather drove 52 years....owns 26 trucks and has a 7 figure income
Mr. Paul Branscom, multi-truck owner and operator for Landstar, 38 years experience. Did I mention he has 2 trucks which were runners up for best of show in Vegas 3 years in a row?
Blake Blanton (cousin) 19 years experience, owner of 1 truck and 2 Silver Star trailers
Justice Blanton (you guessed it...cousin) 24 years and owner of 3 trucks and 4 trailers
Briar Blanton 18 years and 1 truck.
Sharon Blanton (aunt) 28 years experience in flatbedding and large loads. Broker for H.E. Henderson and herself
Annie Blanton (aunt) 23 years, owner of 3 trucks with my uncle Darryl Blanton
Billy D. Cox Former owner of Billy D. Cox trucking for 36 years (they had around 320 trucks and some odd number trailers) He retired at 68 to a mansion and ranch in Whitesboro, TX in 1999

Myself...38 years old and I own two rigs.....yah...we got paved over...someone get me a wambulance

so you have two degrees, NONE having to do with driving a truck....guess that's two more things you were pretty bad at being you made no use of said degrees nor did they ford the common sense to NOT abandon a truck no matter HOW the company was treating you. We get a bad rep from people LIKE you who come in, whine whine whine, cry cry whine then not keep your end of a deal and expect a red carpet and lots of free tissue for your tears for it

The fact remains that instead of following a proper chain of command, telling your safety department what dispatch or planning was doing or attempting to do, you chose to do things in a way that only proved you to be a person of cowardice and no substance, then you come expecting people YOU...YES YOU and the booger eaters just like you are sticking it to, to have sympathy for you..... I'm sorry but just because I'm a redneck don't make me a ######....and you can't ######## an old ###########.

Nobody "came together" against you...it's a matter of you, being the only trucker never trained us how to properly think like an old school trucker who's seen so much change, such as yourself (thank GOD ALMIGHTY). You came loaded for bear against yourself...We sir are only pointing out that which has been obvious to us that you apparently are oblivious to and you didn't like the outcome of your ventures because it has some sting and truth to it for the most part....Go whine somewhere else, your tears have put spots on my nice shiny wheels I worked so hard to polish

Show me where McLeod said "if at any time you wish to discontinue employment with us, just leave our truck any old place and that'll be okay by us". Show me where at any time you contacted a member of safety or their road maintenance, breakdown or shop or whatever they call it over there.

.....wow...I think I just showed you where you broke your word to them because EVERY company app I've ever seen in my almost 39 years around trucking and 18 years driving, EVERY one of them has a statement on their app which states you agree you will return their equipment which was not pre-purchased or predetermined you were to keep and do with as you please to their home terminal or a mutually agreed location which is deemed secure by both driver and company.

    YOU sir...FAIL....HORRIBLY.....at...well..pretty much everything....

THREE...not one, not two but THREE (that's the one that looks like a backward E with a bad humpback problem) companies you did this to. I hope they rape your DAC so badly that it files criminal charges on them and walks bowl legged for the rest of it's pitiful days.

and who are you calling a company shill you wannabe crackerhead?! You were driving a company truck too...if you weren't you wouldn't have 3 vehicle abandonments on your DAC. Sounds like "old school" is REALLY old....idiot forgot who's truck he was in!

Why the hell didn't you deal with the bad brakes as soon as you knew there was a problem? If you'd insisted on getting it fixed as soon as you found a problem then you'd have a leg to stand on refusing to move it (and yes that'd involve "donat[ing] [your] time working for them for free" "to take it to a repair place"). Whether or not they pay for your time while getting repaired is a question to ask before you join up.
