Well all I can say is I can clearly see Mcleod has not done anything to get better, it would appear from the threads they may have even gotten worse yet! Guys if your even thinking of going to work for these loosers hit yourself in the head, not once but over and over until the thought is gone!

 

bbqchkn: The above are common complaints by many drivers. What's the problem with drivers needing flexibility to pickup and deliver in-between loads without risking being late? What's the problem with drivers wanting to get paid by actual miles from Point A to Point B, and not get ripped-off with the househould good miles? Jumping companies and job hopping doesn't necessarily solve these common problems. To branch off, I love it when drivers with big egos refer to those who haven't driven long as "steering wheel holders". Well, since you guys are soooooo amazing and perfect at driving and at life, why won't you drive your trucks without the steering wheel then.

 

These guys are right. Mcleod has the WORST planning dept ever. They are so inept and the co. has a really BAD score because they don't know how to plan & they push their drivers to run illegal. Their equipment is crappy too.

oh by the way, i was reading through this thread & bbqchckn sounds suspicious. He says he has been trucking for 20 years...oh rly, with whom? who have you been driving for, bbqchckn? have you been driving for Mcleod? what company have you been driving for the longest & which one did YOU like the best?

 

Sounds like dispatcher 101.Companies got DAC , drivers got this. Dont like it. Dont read it.

And you must be someone from McLeod's planning or dispatch department. You are not fooling anyone. Take heed to what drivers are posting here and be a more driver friendly company. It really wouldn't kill you!

 

Dont let anyone try to fool you about Mcleod Express! They are obviously in a position where they have used so many drivers up that they are trying to blow smoke up everyones #####! This is the great thing about sites such as The Truckers Report! It gives hard working men and women the chance to sniff out bad companies like Mcleod and many others and run them out of business! We drivers are the money makers without us there is no trucking company! We deserve respect, we deserve to be well paid, and we deserve to have quality time at home! We work hard , we give up so much to do our job that god graced us with the skill to do, we cannot allow dirtbags to steal what we work for and leave us and our families strugling! I hope everyone that reads from this site runs these dirtbag companies like Mcleod out of the Trucking Industry with a pitchfork!!!! Thank you all for adding your experience with Mcleod to my original posting! Together we will make Trucking the Industry it once was and provide great jobs for the men and women to support thier families.

 

Heaven forbid you break down with this company!

A driver is expected to move the truck and look at the yellow pages to find a place where to get the truck fixed! This is the problem in a nutshell with this company: the drivers are the only ones making the company money and are expected to go above and beyond and everyone else at the terminal is too effing lazy to do their own #### jobs!

If you have half a brain, Stay the hell away from this company!!!!!

 

He knows all about it, roadmedic. bbqchckn is probably the cause of it ie. a planner or dispatch.
