New to the forum and to trucking in general.
Drove some in the military way back when, and have driven fire trucks and Ambulances for years. You'd be surprised how much a fully loaded Fire Tanker weighs and how poor it handles AFTER the fire..
Any rate my son and are are going to be team drivers for CRST.. Yep read all the stuff posted here about them. Now I am forewarned and can deal with it.
About me I am a former IT professional who got tired of being the first laid off every time the economy tanks. Been unemployeed now for two years thanks to Bushonomics and Obamacovery. Just leave it at that
There is a reason computer owners are called users. They demand more fore less, are addicted and blame you when THEY break the computer.
My son has his CDL, I don't yet. My life is kind of stable enough I don't need to be home everyday/week/month. His is not, so I agreed to go on the road with him to make being away from from his wife and kids a bit easier.
I am know as the Celtic Wolf most everywhere so if you hear the name give me a shout..

Welcome and good luck to you.
That is cool you will be driving with your son.
I have been trying to talk my dad into running with me when he retires. -
Welcome CelticWolf! I believe that CRST can be as good as any other carrier if the driver is commited and willing to put up with the imperfections that run rampant throughout the industry. I'm a newbie driver for Swift so I kinda know whereof I speak!
Good luck to you and your son. Take everything in stride and keep the driver's door shut and the wheels turning!

I am rather excited about the prospect of being on the road with my son.
A friend reminded to keep the dirty side down and the shiny side up. Took me a bit to get the meaning of that, but that was great advice. I wil pass it on to you
