Thanks for the great response. You're right about asking myself - what do I want. As I said before, I'm 58 years young. I know that I'm nearing my last hoorah in working and perhaps in life. While I'm still in good health I thought this would be a great opportunity to see more of this great country. For example and IMHO, it would be fantastic to see NYC and finish out the week in Wyoming or some other city or state. Basically, I want to see all I can see before I'm too old. I know this will not be a career but rather another chapter in my humble life. The Truckers Report has given me an opportunity to think out loud with those who are dong this job. Thanks to all.
You will always have at least one boss. But when you are in business for yourself, the number of "bosses" that you have seem to be endless. One of my kids is finding this out right now. Kind of an eye opener for him, I think. . .
Seeing the country would be through the windshield or from a loading dock. If you would like to see the country pack and do a road trip if you can afford it. Other wise you might not enjoy trucking just to sightsee.
