It seems to me you are confusing terms. "Home time wherever you want" ≠ "Transportation to wherever you want".

You appear to believe it means if you're in LA you should be permitted to drive your truck to Davenport on their dime...?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and state the OP wants to be emptied near or in Davenport and then spend some time there. They have these things called truck stop, you can park trucks there. PS one of the breweries in Davenport has a nice Jalapeno beer.

Maybe it a miscommunication thing. Some companies require u to leave trk at the terminal if you live within a certain radius of the terminal while others can take trk home.

I hope that limb can stand the strain. That would of course be a far better argument than the emotional plea of why he wants Davenport (and wouldn't waste 1 extra bit), and that Swift expects him to walk there.

Reeks of victim mentality from here.

    Never heard of 'em...

you can do a mac 8 and put in area code. take your hometime anywhere as long as you are under no load. you can also take a 34 rest if you are driving thru and have the time available. if they say park at a terminal, you can always rent a car. some terminals are anal about taking truck home, some are not. mine(jurupa valley ca) is since they consider it a high theft zone. talk to your dl

I've never had a problem taking home time visiting friends and family all over the country. My visits are rarely longer than two days, though, and I do find a place to legally park the truck.

I've found that country (as in non-city) bars are usually pretty good places to park. Most bar owners are happy to let you, especially if you spend a few bucks and eat lunch there.

I only leave my truck at a terminal if I need to have something fixed. All other times it is with me at where ever I'm staying.
That might be a truck stop, a motel or someone's house.
It's not supposed to be a problem as long as you have a safe and legal place to park it - unless it is in a 'high risk' area like San Diego.

There is a Flying J in Davenport, isn't there? You should be able to park it there.

Trygg, what terminal are you out of?
