He is my terminal manager, and he has helped me out greatly in the past.

This is the most honest statement I have heard from a driver that works for Swift.

Just because I don't complain very much does not mean I am being less honest.

But I really think that the people that have the hardest times and most complaints are out of just a few terminals.
Some of them seem like they don't want to keep drivers, or even like them very much. They make it so hard.

I've had very good luck with the company, but that may be because I am out of a small terminal where things seem a bit more personal between the DM's and drivers.
Otay Mesa is fairly laid back, like Inver Grove.
I would transfer to Inver Grove if I didn't get along so well with my DM's in Otay. I have heard good things about them, and I like it there when I get there for home times.

I have been out of IGH for some time now. What is real nice about being out of there, they are 24/7. They answer their own phones after hours and they can help. They are very friendly. Now my DM is gone, promoted to the OPS MGR of Coke there in Egan, so now a new one, well, not really new, she is coming back soon, and she can also plan.

In my experience as a company driver and an O/O I couldn't disagree with both you and the op more. I debated moving on and what made the decision to stay was the people I get to work with. That includes drivers and office people. I will readily acknowledge there are turds in every punch bowl, including Swift, but to paint over 18,000 drivers and thousands more office people with the same brush is purely ignorant.

I have not talked to 18,000 folks that work around at Swift, but the many I have talked to and watched them at driving a truck only a few knew what they were doing. . Thanks for making my point.

Rule of thumb, if there are turds in the punch bowl, don't drink the punch....
