Put the davenport zip in your hometime request, after delivering whatever load they give you, deadhead to the flying J, drop your trailer, register it, put on KP lock, and bobtail wherever you want to go. Never had anyone ever say anything to me about that.

The Question is HOW long are you looking to stay home? If its more then 4-5 days they want the truck at the term so they can kick you out of it and give it to someone else.

    Fixed that for you.

Rudeness and selfishness is rampant in this industry. Just take a listen on CB if you don't believe me. In 20 years, truckers have gone from being "angels of the highway" to just another bunch of ##########.

When's the last time a truck driver flashed you back over when you passed him? I might get that once or twice a week. It's far more likely that he'll speed up to block you from pulling over. I get *that* two or three times a *day*.

And what's up with taking a 30 in the "pull forward" area of the fuel lane? Twice this month I've had to back out of the fuel point, because there was a driverless truck sitting in the way.

While I'm relatively new to trucking, I drove interstate tour bus back in the late 80s - early 90s. I remember how it used to be.

Most of the bad behavior I've seen is from the "indies"; the independent drivers that aren't leased on to a company. I'm sure that the fact that they don't have any accountability has a good bit to do with that. No name/phone number on the trailer to call and tell them that they have a driver acting like an idiot...

FYI, not a bad Photoshop job on the pic.
