Thats how it is in WI, if your med card expires there are no consequences, except you cannot drive anything over class D.

What happens if you turn in a late medical card to the dmv? I live in California. Do they take your license or is it a fine or what?

I called the DMV. They said you automatically get a class C downgrade and you have 365 days to renew your medical card or you have to retest. I called twice and got the same answer both times. But I, like you dont always believe what im told. Mine is gonna be late also.

From the Florida DMV office, if your medical card expires it pretty much voids your CDL. The officer told me that to have a CDL in Florida you must posses a current medical card in good standing, I know when I went to get my Florida CDL changed from Virginia last month they were wanting my medical card and scanned it.
