If you are going to be doing some driving requiring CDL then you will have to have a current physical exam card. Simply find someone who is qualified to administer the physical and if you pass he or she will issue you a two year card. The physician I see specializes in industrial medicine and is well versed in DOT regulations.

For the purposes of a medical card, a CMV is defined as 10,001 and over, NOT just for a CDL! This is actually a very common mistake.

I just completed a physical and I received a new medical card. How do I report this to the DOT?

You don’t report it to the DOT. You report it to your state. It’s usually called self certification.

    Chinatown Thanks this.
