I was reported so many times it was unreal. I despise "for the company" drivers. Mind their business as I did mine.

I've driven for a couple of companies that required uniforms and I always changed into real human clothes at the nearest truck stop. Most of us changed as quickly as possible after leaving the terminal.

I'm in central NC, halfway between Greensboro/Winston and Charlotte. Been looking into tanker (as I've seen you recommend to others), linehaul or LTL. Would like to be home daily but am completely open to 2nd/3rd shift type hours too since I am a night owl. Early 30's and don't mind some labor. I know I'm in a good location for employment and chose the community college program for the most thorough training. I'm in no rush or need to find a job but know to apply while in school. Keeping an eye on OD bc I'm very close to their home office but they don't have any NC jobs posted.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Locate the OD terminals and apply in person at each one. Terminal managers hire what they need at their own terminal.
Southeastern Freight hires new cdl grads at some terminals. That's good for line haul jobs.
Tanker jobs are plentiful in NC for new cdl grads.
