Sounds like a bulging disc but without an MRI you really can't know for sure. I do know nerve pain is no joke. I had the same symptoms as you a couple of years ago and the pain got so bad I literally couldn't walk. Laying down hurt, standing, walking or sitting everything hurt. I ended up paying about $600 out of pocket for an MRI to diagnose. I found a chiropractor that wasn't a quack who did some adjustments and he also recommended I start doing some physical therapy to build up my core strength. It was painful doing the physical therapy, real painful, I wanted to quit but it was exactly what I needed because slowly I started getting better. Within 6 weeks I was back to work feeling healed and normal again. Haven't looked back since then. Occasionally when standing still I can feel a kink or hitch or something in my lower back for like a split second of discomfort but otherwise normal and greatful I didn't go under the knife to who knows what result.

In other words he games the system and makes everyone else pay for it. Just like I said! FYI if you get a kick back or discount rate because of this than you are the reason I pay more! It is nothing but. scam on the single middle class people.

They would make you stay on for X amount of time before they would cover it. Normally it was 120 days, 6 months, or 1 year before covering. I would take that every day of the year if I could have the same coverage I used to have. Hell even if I had to pay my $650 a month I paid now for just me it would still be worth it compared to the #### now. This is the talking points that got Obamacare put in and remember you can keep your current plan they pushed. That did not work out either. Just a scam like most government interference is.

At first that is what the doctors thought as well. I did have 2 disc that I ended up having issues with as well. That was fixed when I got the shots in the two disc. Ended up getting three shots total and it made a big difference.

My issue in my hip is something a little different. I have some arthritis in it and the nerve is either damaged or pinched. I have had a few shots in my hip that made a big difference and will work for 3-4 months but the doctor does not like giving me those because of the diabetes reacts to the meds. Not sure if they can fix the area or have to kill the nerve. Cant tell for sure until another MRI is done in detail with that area of the hip. I paid for the back MRI's the last time to get the disc shots.

My core body is in pretty good shape as well. When this happened years ago I was bowling and felt something dislocate or snap. That is when it all started, At that time I was in ungodly good shape. I ran every other day and worked out 5 days a week, along with hitting the speed bag and heavy bag. This is why I know the physical therapy will not work. I had done pretty much everything you could at that time to work all core muscles. Over the years it has just got worse and worse.

I’ve had health insurance for over 20 years and I think I’ve used it one time on a $10 co-pay. Lol probably getting to the age I should get checked out for some different things, but I never get to use it because I never know when I’ll be home. The life of an OTR driver. Great health insurance plan That nobody can ever use.

Depreciation of equipment is a virtual cost in monetary terms but otherwise the equipment does depreciate due to age, wear and tear. That's why there's a tax writeoff for it. Everyone who owns equipment, will use it for tax advantage, including your tax credit for health coverage. I would not call it gaming the system but playing by the rules.

You still can't be sure if they would not have said back then -in pre Obamacare days - what they are saying to you now. Especially if they found out you had your issue prior to signing for the coverage.
The only good and affordable coverages back then were those group coverages that you could get through an employer but still not every one of them had them tailored to suit everyone's needs.
In principle, I think it is all right, and feels quite natural, that a family has advantage over a single man such as yourself because of the concept of a family as the nucleus of society. And then, without health coverage there's disproportionately more to lose in absolute terms - not only for an individual family but also the entire nation.
Think about it, a father buys a insurance for the familly of 5 - 5 people are covered, whereas without Obamacare, one out of those 5 people develops a chronic illness, it affects the whole family.

    Lastly,
Maybe the focus, and your frustration should be aimed at the health coverage business including insurance carriers, hospitals and doctors in general? They make all those Healthcare costs unaffordable where one week at the hospital can ruin someone's lifetime savings. That's what should be called a scam.

After all, it is not Obamacare who denied you the SERVICE - Obamacare is only a set of laws and regulations - but the insurance carrier whose coverage you bought through it.

Same here. I feel good and strong as a horse.
The last and only time I went to a doctor was when I needed a few stitches on my head.
I still have a coverage in case of something catastrophic, so that they would not put their hands on my personal assets.
