I would like to wigh in on some of these negative comments. Our safety had dropped with the new grading system. infact most carriers had a negative impact from this new system. To combat this we have cleaned up and added fresh faces to our internal staff. We ran the PSP on all our drivers and any gross violators had their contracts terminated. Our safety record has improved daily and continues to improve. We carry numerous government cetifications
(C-TPAT Certified, US Customs Bonded, DHS/ TSA CCSF Certified, EPA Smartway Certified) (NVOCC, OTIF, IATA, IAC, CCSF, CHB, Port & Rail Hub Drayman, Warehouseman,
Surface Freight Forwarder/ Consolidator, 3PL/ MC-Property Broker,
Asset Based Motor Carrier Services)
Most of which would not have been granted if the company was unsafe. No I do not say Megatrux is the choice for every driver, but most can be do well, and make a good living.
Usually people who are negative and slander companies are the hoppers or the drivers that do run illegal and when they get caught, they feel the need to blame and cover their #####. I wounder how those PSP reports on those drivers look. Thats fine. But if you ever want a good view of Megatrux. Stop one of the trucks you see out on the highway. Get a real answer. Ask one of the couple hundred on the road in January and February.
Also if you want an answer, send me a message. i will shoot it to you strait. I dont have time for BS answers. Oh and if you are going to say something negative about someone or something. Have your facts correct, you just look rediculous when you try to over do it. (Im talking about $1300 a week starport guy). thats in its self is just unreal. they lease used trucks. The highest out of 50 Lease purchases we have with them is $799 a week, which I even think is high but i guess as a team running 6000-7000 miles a week it is not a problem. We do have 3 other companies that we are working with and the payments including maintanence is usually under $500 wk. with a lease like starport you own that truck in less than 2 years. Its a tough 2 years, but once you own it its yours, and at the end of the lease you pay only a $1 buyout. So in some ways the lease is tough but in others its great. just have to weigh your pros and cons before you jump into something. Well you guys be safe, drive safe, and please lets be nicer on the boardsMoneyCat and losttrucker Thank this. -
I just got $150 walmart card from safety for passing a level 1 inspection at the scales. thats the second one since the begining of the year. i love walmart.
