As with any company, Melton wants things done their way. All companies have policies, if you don't like it or agree with it, find somewhere else to work! These "road snitches" are really just an extension of the safety department. I've never had a problem, but then again, I do what I'm expected to do. Simple as that.

I never said I had a problem with the way melton would want things done apologies if u thought that is what I meant whatever company I end up with my plan is to do it there way and there way only after all there paying to do it there way
-
That was geared towards the ones that seem to have a problem with following company policy. DOT wants a strap every 10 feet. Melton wants a strap every 5 feet. That's the kind of thing that these people are complaining about. It's silly.
-
Because Melton hasn't questioned me about it. If someone calls in on you Melton calls you to figure out what you did wrong.
So yes silver drifter you will know if you have encountered one. -
Aren't their trucks all badged "Blue Knight" or "Ambassador Of The Road"?
i don't recall running into any Blue Knights, but I've talked with several million milers at terminals and while loading. Never had a problem with them. -
Not always. I think blue knight is 3 years safe with Melton and ambassador is million milers. The one that told on a guy I met last week was 1 year at Melton and he snitched on a 9 year blue knight. I was in Tulsa when this blue knight had to meet with safety over this.
-
Do you know any details on it?
Personaly I think that if safety felt the need to bring him in, he did something wrong. Safety doesn't bring drivers in to tell em they're doing everything right. blue Knight or not, I think we should all be held to the same standards. -
I'll also add that I don't think we should all be running to safety department when we see something. Try and fix it between drivers first.
silverdrifter and jomar68 Thank this. -
Yes safety brought him in and looked at his load. I was out there when one of the big wigs in a polo looked at it and said " I don't see the issue, it looks fine to me". I had the same load and secured exactly the same way as they walked right past me to go back in.
Not like it was hearsay, since I saw and heard what was going on and I heard the safety guy say the driver that reported him was still new to flatbed. -
Well then there was no problem!
