melton questions

I saw a picture of a new Melton Volvo VNL730 with the 77" sleeper. Are these trainer trucks or being added to the regular fleet?

 

They are not trainers trucks. They are testing the mpg and they're automatic.

 

I thought they weren't buying any more autos?

 

Curious how often u guys come to fl? I live inbetween Orlando n Ocala n see 3-5 Melton trucks on avg a wk on the turnpike when I'm going to work

 

I was just at the Tulsa terminal, according to the guys there, They are not buying anymore autos, or Volvo's, they are going to the T680 with 10 speeds, but they are going to the trainers at first, then, possibly solo drivers, but as for now, the trucks will remain the T660

 

Hot ####! A T680 would be sweet. I'm gonna cross my fingers...

 

Ive never seen melton pulling a step deck....are you all just straight flatbed

 

Do y'all get out west much? It's silly, I know, but I've never seen the Rockies except from the air and I'd kinda love to drive through them...

 

Volvo is pushing their I shift (auto). The 730 is the biggest mid roof but Melton has always been mainly KW.

 

We have quite a bit of FL freight. I have been there 2x in two months and had 2 other Loads going there but was took off because of me needing to be home for hometime.
