Universal Truckload - hauls military loads. I don't think this company has driver facing cameras.

PGT is pretty regional and you'd be home most if not all weekends. Probably run the same loads out of the same mills to the same customers most of the time. Melton hauls a bigger variety of commodities over a wider area and you wouldn't have a very predictable home life. Not having to stay out 2 or 3 Weeks to get a few days off. But If you don't have anything better to do or that's keeping you at home Melton might be fun for a while. Something else to think about is If your not actually going to be there, (Melton) why pay all that income tax to Pennslyania. Domicile in a no income tax state if your going to live on the road.

Follow @Chinatown's lead... PGT is an okay company, and Melton may be a bit better for the right driver. But, Universal should be considered as well.

If you want flatbed, PGT, Melton, Universal Truckload all hire new cdl grads with no experience. The will train you for flatbed work. System Transport is another good one.
If you want to travel then Melton, System, Universal are good.

i would think about what you want to do first, do you want to be regional,do short runs, long runs, otr, flatbed, van, reefer?when you figure out what you want to do then you can do your research and find a company that fits you. alot of drivers will say they don't understand why someone would wanna be on the road if they can get a regional or local job, well depending on where you live the same things available to them might not be available to you. figure out what you want then you can ask better questions and find what fits you. example: flatbed isn't for me so i haven't worked for either company you mention, melton looks like they have decent equipment but I've heard drivers complain about the miles on here, if you want to know about either company research them on here and draw your own conclusion.research, research, and usually no news is good news, unless its a company nobody has heard of,then you would just be taking a chance. good luck.
