Melton, Whatcher 20

I got a PP for a 300 mile tarp load this morning. Boeing in Auburn, WA to CASS in Post Falls, ID. Showed up at Boeing and the rent-a-cops searched in, under and around my truck. Asked for my passport or a birth certificate. I fave no passport and my birth cert was 1500 miles away.

They said it wasn't a problem, I'd just have to wait for an escort.

I waited for about 45 min. Then, Mr rent-a-cop came out and told me that all of the buildings provide escorts except 2. I was going to one of those 2 buildings. Told me I needed to leave the property and I asked if I could sit there until I got the OK from Melton to leave without the load. He told me no, made me leave immediately.

Luckily there was a walmart about 1/4 mile down the road so I went there and let the secretary know what happened. Got a call from CSR about it and eventually they ended up canceling the load and giving me a DH order for it.

Got another PP picking up at steelscape in kalama, WA going to Fontana.

Why in the hell am bringing coils to Fontana when you guys are taking coils out of fontana!?!? Doesn't make sense!!!# lol

As predicted, I am going from Seattle to LA and most likely getting something out there to repower in phoenix or new Mexico for home time on monday. Siting somewhere in southern oregon now, can't make it to ontario tomorrow.

you're not going to get it! CSR's know that they can't book LA freight until close to 1000 central time. The customers aren't open before then most of the time. Unless they have something booked already and haven't told you about it...

 

i live right by there, whenever i come.off hometime im told to be at my truck at 8am, always get pp for ca steel in fontana for 9-11am pickup

they will load you early though, everyone shows up at 11...so sooner the better, 9 is usually pretty empty quick load

 

Sent me to long beach for a long run to Indiana with machinery! Fine with me

 

FINALLY got the APU fixed. Clogged filter again. Awaiting a load out Salt Lake City. Hope it is something descent; don't like the hassle of a short run for a Friday reload. Too many ways for it to go south. Better than sitting though.

 

Just did that run. No tarp, couple of chains, some straps and delivered the next day.

 

im 60 miles from cons at TA.
i remember how its set up so ill get there by 730 tomorrow and know they went quick last time at unloading.

i remember getting sent to that glass place after here last time, wonder if ill get sent there again. hopeully if i do it wont be an appt for nighttime like last time, running out of my hours for the day sitting there.
