The blue book says we will be charged/not reimbursed for unauthorized tolls. I have taken the toll road around dallas and didn't hear anything about it, but an old melton driver I know told me he had been charged for unauthorized tolls before.

got to cons this morning it was raining full on they made me.pull off tarps then drive to unloading area, well by the time i walked back to tarps while they unloaded tarps were heavy from the rain. another driver got there and helped me a bit while he waited to get called in. some company from canada. nice guy so i helped him with his cause they made him do the same thing
next load was some pipes and it was no tarp so i thought cool. then while im getting loaded another melton driver comes and were goin to same cons, but his is tarp. after back and forth from dm and shipper didnt get a straight answer so listened to shipper and tarped it anyway. he helped me tarp so it was quick, but they took about 3 hours loading me so i had 2 hours left by the time i left.
tarp for 420 ish miles, i hope my dm hooks me.up!!! hah
reminds me good times and bad times im not complaining much just got drained from all that rain.
cant wait til it snows right? -
That's how it's been around St Louis, nasty rain. I delivered in St Louis this morning got pp for up in Iowa for rail wheels which is nice and going to Texas and I'm now back at St Louis for night, well south of it exit 180 on 55. I forget the name of the place.

Question what is your average load, secure and tarp time for coils
-
Depends on size how many and how strict shipper is. 2 hours at most on good day. 2 eye to the sky coils can be knocked out quicker while 3 suicides took me longer.
-
I just got 3 suicide coils about a week ago. 11 chains and tarp took me about an hour of work. Maybe slightly longer. I consider myself pretty slow with coils. I don't think I've had more than 5 suicide coil loads so far.

I just did that rail wheel run. Care stuff is heavy. 47700lbs.when I weighed I had 20 lbs to spare on my rear axle. If your going to Waskom. You want to be the first truck there. They are terribly slow with unloading.Last edited: Sep 11, 2014

Got off loaded a day early in Pontiac, MI after driving and unloading in heavy rain. Glad for the rain suit. Put off the board for 24 hrs so I can go pick up a load in Canada headed for Laredo. Going to be a late load since I can't leave until 1600 which puts me at the shipper at 2100. Hope for over night parking to avoid any parking flailexs.
