Melton, Whatcher 20

I love these cons that get stuff and not meant to have a big truck in them. Got all brand new straps in Laredo and of course this place is a mud hole so 7 of them are brown now.

 

I'm heading back to Laredo, the crazy people of Melton thought I could make 1600 miles by Wednesday morning. Oh so silly, told them it'll be there Thursday morning no earlier ain't no way I'm making it by Wednesday. Killed 350 today after getting a weird load, only 1250 to go.

 

One accident or bad construction zone will throw a wrench in it. They don't account for your 30 fuel or any that bs

 

Knocked out 650 today, still around 700 to Laredo, figure I'll stop a little past San Antonio tomorrow an finish Thursday morning. I want a short weekend load so I can get a reset.

 

I'm supposed to pick up tonight 200 miles away and drive 1750, with an extra stop, by Friday at 1200!

I have 1 hour on 70 right now. Not going to happen. At least I'm going home! I'm sure del will be pushed to monday, hopefully I can make it home Saturday and do the 200 to first stop Sunday evening.

 

Yea they been screwy with these times lately. First mine then yours.

 

well i had a 'jit pickup and del' on my load today, said must be on time to pu and del!!!! with extra exclamations haha. get to shipper this morning at 8am and sit until 12...all because melton didnt have the 4 digit pickup number i needed to give them. didnt get lloaded til 1pm and didnt leave til about 230pm after i tarped it. its lime, so there is white powder everywhere at the place.

couldve made my delivery at 7am on thursday if i didnt sit around for 5 hours. ill still try, buy i got about 1050 to go.
might have to push it a couple hours.

in texarkana at the first rest area in arkansas. heading to ambridge pa. dont know why this stuff had to be tarped, i have a feeling it didnt, every flatbed there got the same as me strapped and took off. when i asked them where can i park to tarp they looked at me like i was crazy. when in doubt tarp it anyway

 

thats what i hate about some of these places. they know im supposed to be there. i tell them where im goin. the guy did not want to help figure it out, instead he just wanted me to give the number. had to be a douche because i didnt have a cb and they have a sign 'all trucks must have cb radio in order to get loaded'

i watch him sift through paperwork out of a folder and has me sign it...on the paperwork it has carrier MELTON on it and the address of my cons on it.
