Can you drivers at Melton share how its the company overall to work there, how many miles a week for a new coming within 3 months of experience in Flatbed?
-
Overall very good road star. Good miles, great equipment and really don't have any issues with folks in the office.

I enjoy working here. They treat you pretty good. When you start it takes you longer to.secure and tarp but after about a month or so you get your legs and thing go quicker. I avg 2300 to 2500 miles a week. This month is good going to have 12000 miles for the month. And most drivers help you out. I had 3 months experience when I started and I was getting about 2000 miles a week. Mostly because I was taking so much time to secure and tarp.

Hey flatbedn and robot, who do you guys have for DMs?
I talked to a recruiter and she said if my DM and I don't get along I can ask to be switched. I've heard bad things about Wanda, very bad things, is there any others I should be wary of?
Is it possible to ask for a specific DM? I'm terrified I'll get a bad one -
I have Lindsey and she is freakin awesome.
slipperysnake Thanks this. -
Slipperysnake, they have a computer program where you answer some questions and then they use that to pair you with your "compatible" DM. Just because one person has "issues" with an individual doesn't mean everyone will. A lot of it is based on interaction and trust. You will have to prove yourself to your DM, no matter who you are assigned to. Since most interaction is via QC or short phone calls, it is easy to "personalize" conversations, which can potentially lead to issues. Finally, remember that you are one driver of many on the team and you have a very narrow slice of the overall picture the DM is working with; you probably don't know what you think you know. In my case, I ask questions if I don't understand an issue, try not to take things personally and avoid being combative. So far it has worked for me. Your milage may vary.

I don't believe that computer program is accurate though triletter. I think when the time comes they just try to average out each dm board.
