The only time I went to New York they Dh me from Syracuse down to Alcoa in Pa for a Laredo load. There is a ton up there to pick up from though.

 

Waiting at the Consignee in Chicago, PU Rebar in Sayrevile NJ yesterday, got here at 2 this afternoon thinking they would unload me today but no luck they were too busy and have to wait for tomorrow morning..the only good thing is I don't to start my clock to unload...I wonder what I'll get out of Chicago, any ideas?

Well, whatever it is, I'm thinking that picking up on Thursday probably sucks, because of it's not a very long load that will take you thru the weekend, you'll probably be without a load over the weekend...has that ever happened to anyone here, being stuck somewhere over the weekend without a load??

 

If we are being delayed by the Consignee, do we also get detention pay?? My appointment is for 0800, I was here at 1400 yesterday, they didn't unload me and now they have to load and unload they own trailers, it's looking like I won't be out of here until this afternoon..hence the question..

 

yes you should get detention from appt time. so at 1000 send 2 hour warning macro, then send the other with the time they started and finished loading. write times on BOL when you sign for it...sometimes they require that

 

Floyd it sounds like you're at ENJ. Yes you get detention, it starts two hours after your appt time. I've delivered on a Friday and sat all weekend without a load. I got detention and the DM card which is $75 over and above the layover pay.

 

Robot, I'm at the consignee not the shipper that's why I asked. I know the shipper we get the detention pay, I just didn't know about the consignee..thanks
