They probably inspected it again, and there's a helluva lot more damage than the media knows about.

The it lost one of two key elements. Either a ton of other stuff failed before it happened, or after it happened stuff is getting strained.

they would NOT have did an emergency shut down if it was no dangerous. I assume they’re waiting for a detailed investigation to see if moving the beams would cause catastrophic failure. (I’m not an engineer)

 

Also if you’re going north take the 155/412 rat through dyersburg I do it a lot.

 

Everything in Memphis is falling apart.

 

The Tenn-Tom Waterway is one way to get around a closure in Memphis. I don't know if this is what they're planning. They would have to build a road on both ends of any temporary bridge reconnecting with I-40. The whole idea is crazy.

 

Yeah ... First Elvis, now this.

 

Put a couple of crossovers in and run everyone across the other bridge.

 

Nor do you want to slow down going through Memphis, especially the route of the detour. I know from experience. First they stole my youth. I got out before I lost anything else.

 

You sure it wasn't guy at the lunch counter, you know who I mean, the ex navy seal undercover for the DEA guy.

 

Has anyone gone thru East bound on 40 today? Will be heading that way in a couple hours. Trying to decide which way to go.
